Welcome to my website. I hope you will take a few minutes and check out my artwork. I am what you might call an "emerging artist". Emerging, at my age?
Well, yes. Even though I've been drawing and painting for about thirty years most of my efforts were in the Building and Design Industries as my wife Orrie and I were raising three kids.
All this time I have been living in San Juan Capistrano (same house) which is a very beautiful little town in South Orange County, not too far away from the ocean.
So, you can call me a builder, a designer, a surfer, a volunteer, or an ARTIST.
I use many mediums in my work including oil, pastel, colored pencil, graphite and my imagery includes marine wildlife, surfing, portraits, Native American and western.
I am a repeat artist for such SoCal events as the "KSBR Jazz Radio annual birthday bash" and the "Swallows Day Parade" held each year in San Juan Capistrano. My first "One ManShow", at the "Ocean institute" in the Dana Point Marina recently concluded so that was a big step forward for me. We are in discussion about a return exhibit sometime next year!
Also, Orrie and I are active politically in my town and have collaborated with several other concerned citizens to create a watchdog publication known as the "Capistrano Common Sense". In addition to writing about our city's financial and governance problems I have drawn a cartoon for each issue. Check out some of these when you visit the Galleries. You wil see it titled "Amongst us Swallows".
I have some cool events coming up soon so make sure you get to the "Happenings" page to get more info.
Thanks again for visiting and I hope you tell lots of friends and family to
take a look.
